All our boots are genuine Australian uggs that have been made by UGG Australia for decades from premium quality sheepskin,(Classic uggs are made in China and others are made in New Zealand now.). 2 Why are there so many different brands of ugg boots? Deckers' Ugg Australia, Emu, Old Friend, and Aussie Dogs are all made in China (a few models may still be made in New Zealand). Unfortunately, that meant plenty of Australian made ugg boots could not be so named by U.S. retailers. Owing to U.S. trademark laws, many Australian and U.S. manufacturers are now marketing ugg boots as "sheepskin boots". In January 2006, Deckers Outdoor Corporation's Australian trademark for Ugh-boot was removed from the Australian Trademarks Registry, after the trademarks office handed down their decision the words ug boots, ugg boots and ugh boots were interchangeable and generic terms for sheepskin boots.
